CARDIFF UNIVERSITY

RIDI’s Venice and Spectral’s Blade were supplied to Cardiff University for the refurbishment of a number of lecture theatres in two buildings in different parts of the city.

The interior design by Boyes Rees Architects called for luminaires that would tie in with the vivid colour palette of the rooms. Blade was chosen in four different RAL colours matching the furniture, wall panels and the suspended acoustic panels.

Recessed, continuous Venice light channels sit unobtrusively in the ceiling in areas without the head room for suspended Blades and acoustic panels.

A Control3 lighting control system provides scene setting, energy management and integration with the AV systems in the lecture theatres.
