Transport for London

Opened in July 2022, Barking Riverside is part of the 4.5 km extension of the Gospel Oak to Barking on Transport for London’s London Overground line. RIDI Group UK worked together with Selux UK (former producer of Survivor) to deliver this project to the customers full specification.

Original project render

Survivor by RIDI Group is renowned for its proven longevity and timeless design. Weston Williamson Architects had specified the Survivor for their acclaimed work on the Docklands Light Railway and stations such as West Silvertown are testament to good design. They chose to use the latest iteration of the range which features a myriad of options for speaker, camera and luminaire efficiency in excess of 135 Lumens per watt.

One defining feature of the architects vision was that the lighting looks very much part of the overall design. Survivors integrated media trunking which allows segregated cabling to be trunked down the full length of the curvaceous profile allowed the designers freedom to create an uncluttered and holistic platform design.
