Established in Germany in 1952 RIDI Lighting is one of the major brands in European lighting. The company prides itself on being family-oriented company with a personal touch – and a value on personal service. From the days of producing domestic diffuser luminaires, RIDI transitioned into technical luminaire design in the 70’s and has built heavily on this experience since.
Engineering values have always been an important aspect of the RIDI brand and they pride themselves on producing over 90% of their items in Germany at one of their three major plants. This is important for the company’s integrity.

ENGINEERED FOR PHOTOMETRIC PERFORMANCE
With all in-house testing facilities at our disposal, RIDI can produce all elements of the product which means we can fuse all the materials together to produce the most efficient LED designs. The materials and design of the product are essential for good thermal management – which means longer life. Good LED optical design means little wasted light and our new REY product shown here is the perfect example of that.

Using high grade alloys and a state-of-the-art paint plant, the products can stand the test of time. Essential when looking at the cost of shut downs in production for repairs and maintenance.

RIDI produce a wide range of products for all environments and have produced one of the best performing sports hall luminaires on the market. Designed to DIN 18 032, our ball proof luminaires are not only thoroughly tested but are also designed to be comfortable for the competitor with important glare control.

When RIDI produce a new product, an essential ingredient is longevity and long availability in the marketplace. Products therefore must be thoughtfully designed in order to look fresh many years after launch. This is essential because at RIDI as they offer a 10 years commitment to parts availability, so the customer has the comfort of knowing we don’t design products that will soon be obsolete.

The RIDI LINIA continuous pre-wired lighting system, is regarded as one of the class leading products of its genre in Germany and is probably RIDI’s most famous product line. The product is a perfect example of design which can span from heavy industry to modern office interiors. A truly flexible product.

FOR ALL CEILING TYPES
For many decades RIDI have made product lines for all types of conceivable ceilings. Most the recessed product lines can be adapted and produced for all major ceiling types and we can also produce special variations when required. Because of the in-house production of LED boards they can offer a variation of outputs that are perfectly tailored to the space.
RIDI also offer retrofit solutions for refurbishment of existing projects.
