Ridi Lighting Ltd is proud to announce the acquisition of Lightworks with effect from 1st September 2023.
RIDI Lighting Ltd will take over the responsibility of the ongoing business and clients of Lightworks Architectural Ltd and continue to honour the supply of existing projects as well as the company’s future projects and client requirements.
Lightworks has a strong pedigree of innovative products for the interior professional lighting market and have specialised in the specification of these products for the Commercial and Retail sectors. The Lightworks brand will compliment the high quality commercial brand of RIDI as well as positioning itself comfortably with the Architectural brand of Spectral within the RIDI Group.
Lightworks is a strong specification brand and has established itself over the last 24 years as a trusted and pioneering force with specifiers, which aligns very well with the RIDI brand. RIDI is first class in the commercial office market and the addition of Lightworks products and client base continues to strengthen our focus on this sector. Their experience and contacts in the Retail market is also of great interest for RIDI as we embark on a new strategy to gain greater market share in this sector.
Since founding Lightworks back in 1999 and after 35 years in the architectural lighting industry, I have been looking towards being able to focus more time on property investments and achieving a better work life balance.
Lightworks has always committed to providing best in breed solutions that deliver on specifier requirements, with a reputation for collaboration to develop project specific solutions for a wide range of applications.
Richard and I both started our Architectural Lighting careers together some 30 years ago and we have remained friends ever since. The trust between us, has made the acquisition process an easy one and excited to see the Lightworks brand now assisting RIDI to reach new market sectors. It is also reassuring to know that Richard and the RIDI team will continue to take care of our clients and their projects with the same determined spirit.
Lightworks remains fully operational with our ongoing assistance for the handover process and I wish them continued success with their exciting expansion plans.
